Miss You Like Crazy on Cinema One

MANILA, Philippines –  Christmas is the merry time for giving. Thus, Cinema One presents its holiday offering which is the premiere of Miss You Like Crazy starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo on Blockbuster Sunday, Dec. 26 at 8 p.m.

Miss You Like Crazy is Star Cinema’s post-Valentine offering this year and offers John Lloyd-Bea fans the great movie treat who have already missed the tried- and-tested tandem. Directed by blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina who helmed the recent success My Amnesia Girl and written by Vanessa Valdez (One More Chance, A Love Story), Tey Clamor and Juan Miguel Sevilla, Miss You Like Crazy is a story about fate, faith and timing.

The romantic gem also stars Maricar Reyes, Hans Isaac, Ryan Eigenmann, Ina Feleo, Ketchup Eusebio, Tirso Cruzz III, Bembol Roco, Sylvia Sanchez, JM de Guzman, Sid Lucero and Justine Cuyugan. Miss You Like Crazy enjoyed a six-week screening when it was released to over 100 theaters nationwide in the first quarter of 2010 and raked in approximately P150-M in the box-office. It affirmed for the upteenth time the undeniable appeal of the John Lloyd-Bea love team.

Miss You Like Crazy opens with two individuals with separate existence and separate lives. Alan Alvarez (John Lloyd) is a picture of a man who is reaching success. With an impending high ranking promotion and a strong relationship with his girlfriend, Daphne Recto (Maricar), he is at the cusp of realizing his dreams. Mia Samonte (Bea), on the other hand, is getting weary of her forlorn life. She is back in Manila for the holidays after working hard for two years as a front desk officer in Kuala Lumpur. With the hopes of getting the chance to finally have a break, her family gets into another crisis that leaves her hopeless and fated.

Two individuals with seemingly predestined lives suddenly find their paths crossing on a ferry-boat ride that will change the course of their journeys forever. They get acquainted fast, bonded instantly and plunged into a whirlwind romance. But when realization and priorities get in the way, will their romance survive? Miss You Like Crazy airs encore on Dec. 29, 9 p.m.
