Little Lambs bags AsiaSpa award

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Little Lambs Kiddie Spa & Clinic was awarded the Best Kiddie Spa in the recently-concluded AsiaSpa Awards 2010 held last month at The Mira Hotel in Hong Kong.

Despite its first time to compete in the Kids’ Spa category, the four-year-old company bested six other contenders from India, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam — most of which are bigger and more established hotel- and-resort-based establishments.

The award cites the spa’s holistic approach (mind, body and spirit) which combines pediatric and alternative medicine in the promotion of children’s wellness. Its comprehensive service menu (which includes organic products) as well as its top-of-the-line facilities also contributed largely to its winning edge.

Owned and managed by Carl and Lyne Balita, business visionaries and medical practitioners, Little Lambs is just one of several successful entrepreneurial ventures that enrich the lives of its specific target markets.

Lyne, an established pediatrician and devoted mother of four, admits that her unique service philosophy merely reflects her intuitive motherly passion, and stresses the parents’ integral role in making their spa activities more meaningful for their kids. “Kids need pampering more than we do,” she stresses.

Aside from being featured in all of AsiaSpa’s marketing collaterals, the citation also included a Baccarat crystal trophy.

Created in 2005 to give recognition to the Asia’s progressive spa industry, the AsiaSpa Awards sets the benchmark for quality and innovation for spas in the region.

This year’s board of judges was comprised of 28 prominent personalities in the spa industry from the US, Australia and the Asian region.
