Dressing in style for Christmas

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - What better way to present your kids to their ninongs and ninangs, or parade them around town this Christmas than by dressing them up in the Moose Gear 2010 holiday collection.

ABS-CBN Star Circle Kids and Goin’ Bulilit regulars are no different when it comes to dressing up in style for the holidays. Their choice is no other than Moose Gear.

Child stars Bugoy Cariño, Nash Aguas, Xyriel Ann Manabat, Aaron Junatas, Jairus Aquino, Basty Alcances, Sharlene San Pedro, Mika dela Cruz and Cha Cha Cañete, reveal their favorite Moose Gear apparel in which they can strut their stuff with fun and flair.

Xyriel, more popularly known as Momay, continues to win the audience’s heart not only with her bubbly personality and cute smile, but also with her good sense of (kiddie) fashion. Xyriel goes for girly pinks and yellows for her Moose Girl ensembles for her showbiz commitments, and Moose Girl shorts and top combos for her off-camera activities such as school programs and field trips.

Bugoy, the prince of the dance floor, not only has the right moves but also a distinct taste for clothes. The eight-year-old Bugoy loves wearing loose pants and dons his favorite plaid shorts and hoodies for his pamporma.

…Mika dela Cruz and Sharlene San Pedro…

Nash Aguas has always combined charisma with talent, even during his Star Circle Kid’s Quest days where he won the grand prize. Even as a tiny tot, Nash already exhibited individuality by having his own say when it came to what he wanted to wear. Today, at 12, Nash prefers skinny jeans and buttoned-down polo shirts from among the Moose Gear holiday line-up, in his favorite colors of white, blue and green.

Chubby he may be but 11-year-old Aaron can still pull off being cute and cool. Aaron says he is happy with his loose Moose Gear shirts and polos which he wears in his sitcom and commercials.

Jairus, dubbed as “Pambansang Bespren’’ from his Super Inggo character, says the Moose Gear hoodie line is his favorite. His mom Carrie describes Jairus’ taste in clothes as modest.

Twelve-year-old Basty is on the cusp of teenhood and takes extra caution in choosing what to wear. His preference for clothes now includes teen staples such as jeans and jackets. Of late, Basty was able to showcase his versatility when he took on a contravida role in Momay.

Sharlene is already a veteran when it comes to TV commercials and TV shows. And even as she has grown into a lovely 11-year-old, she has not changed a bit from being the ever active Moose Girl that she has always been. “Moose Girl clothes fit her personality, and whether she goes to the church, attends school functions and TV shoots, there’s always something from their collection that she likes. She particularly likes Moose Girl’s fashionable tops and stylish shorts,” Sharlene’s mom says.

An active girl who loves role playing over toys and costumes, Mika is also a favorite not only for TV roles but for commercials as well. “Mika is just full of life. She is studious and quite ambitious. She’s an obedient child too,” her sister Angelika proudly shares. At the young age of 11, Mika is already a fashionista who loves Moose Girl’s colorful leggings.

And who can forget Cha Cha, the cute little girl who will forever be marked as the little lass inching her way to the living room to the tune of “Bulilit sanay sa masikip.” Cha Cha, six, loves to mix, match and layer Moose Girl outfits on her own.

Wearing trendy, age-appropriate and comfy Moose Gear wear, the kids are sure to shine brighter this Christmas season.
