Salcedos share stellar billing

Father and son Leopoldo and Edgar Salcedo share stellar billing in the family drama Laman ng Aking Laman, circa 1966. That was also the year Edgar was formally introduced to the public as part of Sampaguita’s Stars 66.

Laman ng Aking Laman was produced by United Brothers, an affiliate of Sampaguita. Which explained the presence of such Sampaguita stars as Rita Gomez, Rosa Mia and Rosemarie Sonora.

Pol Salcedo, The Great Profile, was king of local movies in the ’40s and early ’50s, along with Rogelio dela Rosa, Fernando Poe Sr. and Pempe Padilla.
