Definitely not Jovit's last concert

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Aliw Theater buzzed with excitement as the crowd waited for Jovit Baldivino’s first major concert, Faithfully, last Nov. 13. The venue slowly and steadily filled up with friends, family and fans. Jovit was at the backstage focused on pleasing the crowd but the tables were turned on him as he was pleasantly surprised at the volume of people who came out to see his show.

Led by musical director Nyoy Volante, the night’s opening act was powerful as Jovit did a little dance routine and did a back flip to the crowd’s surprise. He sang songs by Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, Queen and even had the audience sing along. Jovit also sang an original composition which was followed by a novelty duet with Melai Cantiveros which was applauded by the crowd. Melai did a dance showdown with her onscreen and off screen partner, Jason Francisco to the tune of Billie Jean.

Kim Chiu wowed the crowd with her dance moves and was caught off guard as Jovit sang Too Much Love Will Kill You while on stage. Although Sam Milby did not make it, former Pinoy Dream Academy scholar Bugoy Drilon took the center stage as he performed love songs. Jovit then showed his versatility as a singer as he did an APO Hiking Society medley with Nyoy.

One of the highlights was Yeng Constantino’s performance with Jovit as the later considers it an honor to perform with fellow co-Star Magic artist. The rest of the show went smoothly as the crowd continued to sing along with Jovit.
