Midnight DJ's Halloween treat

MANILA, Philippines - The cast of TV5’s Saturday horror-suspense-adventure-comedy-drama series Midnight DJ thanks its followers via a nationwide mall tour.

The first leg, held last Oct. 22 at SM Novaliches, was a rousing success. Samboy (Oyo Sotto), Bodjie (Joaqui Tupas), Andrea (Desiree del Valle), QT (Meg Imperial), Chief Arthur (John Medina) and Ka Tokleng (Gilbert Telis) signed autographs and posed with fans.

This Saturday evening, our MDJ team leader Samboy shops for Halloween costumes and meets the thrift shop keeper, charming and beautiful Rosa (portrayed by Arci Muñoz) and owner, a mysterious 90-year-old paralytic named Milagrosa (Perla Bautista).

As Rosa and Samboy bond the lady admits the murders of young women in the area make her afraid. Samboy and friends investigate and discover that Milagrosa is the culprit and kills to keep her youthful looks through a cursed vanity table in the shop.

A flashback of events will feature Solomon (Oyo), an espiritista and host of Midnight Radio Show in 1930, his technician Botchok (Joaqui) and sweetheart, the younger Milagrosa (Hiyasmin Neri). Also guesting are Ella Guevarra (Milagrosa’s assistant Blanca) and Michelle Rufo-Lanson (an office girl who is one of the victims).

The episode titled Aparador Sa Burador is the show’s Halloween treat. MDJ is directed by Lore Reyes and line produced by Angie Samson-Valvieja for Big Top Productions.
