Glam & glitz on the red carpet

MANILA, Philippines - StarStudio Magazine awarded the most fashionable celebrities in its first Celebrity Style Awards. The event was a night of stars, glam and glitz as celebrity guests and nominees sparkled on the red carpet last Oct. 3 at the grand ballroom of the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City.

Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu arrived together despite the nonstop intrigues about their loveteam. Also seen were Gretchen Barretto and Tonyboy Cojuangco, Tim Yap, Nanette Medved, Cristalle Henares, Isabel Oli, Marc Nelson, Ejay Falcon, AJ Perez, Vice Ganda, John James Uy, Joey Mead, Helga Krapf and Phoemela Baranda.

Program highlight were mini-fashion shows by celebrity designer nominees Avel Bacudio, Francis Libiran, Joey Samson and Randy Ortiz and performances by Imago, Pedicab, Richard Poon and Karylle. Models like Raya Mananquil, Wilma Doesnt and Ornussa Cadness showcased the creations. Ortiz won the Celebrity Designer of the Year Award.

Sarah Geronimo, who was unable to attend the awarding won Most Stylish Live Performer – Female category while Piolo Pascual and John Lloyd Cruz were proclaimed Most Stylish Leading Man.

“I’d like to thank StarStudio Magazine and I’d like to share this award with all the lovely ladies here tonight and to my husband who always inspires me to look my best,” Female Celebrity Style Icon winner Lucy Torres-Gomez said.

Sarah Meier and Bianca Valerio hosted the event. Presenters were Jericho Rosales, Isabel Oli, Tuesday Vargas, Tim Yap, Kelly Misa, Georgina Wilson, Borgy Manotoc, JC Buendia, Nanette Medved-Po and Ernie Lopez, ABS-CBN Publishing head.

Sagip Kapamilya of the ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. was the beneficiary of this event.
