The story of three loves

Tatlong Kabanata sa Buhay Ko (1952) is said to be inspired by the three loves of director-actor-writer, portrayed by Danilo Montes. He had passionate affairs with three women, played by Anita Linda, Patria Plata and Amparo Karagdag.

Here are three emotion-filled lines from the movie, uttered by the man to his three loves.

To Anita — Kung ako’y iiwan mo mamamatay ako.

To Patria — Ako’y naging baliw na pikit-matang umibig sa iyo.

To Amparo — Ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo’y hindi matutumbasan ng salapi.

Tatlong Kabanata sa Buhay Ko was the last three post-war movies of Amparo (Miss Luzon, but from Zamboanga), the other two were Lihim na Bayani and Magkapilas ng Langit.
