Teleserye lines we can't forget

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda -

If there are unforgettable movie lines, there are teleserye lines that are memorable. If there are classic Pinoy movie lines like “You’re nothing but a second-rate trying hard copy cat!” (Cherie Gil in Bituing Walang Ningning) and “Walang himala! Ang himala ay nasa puso ng tao! Ang himala ay nasa puso nating lahat!” (Nora Aunor in Himala), there are also catchy teleserye lines like the following which I read on the Internet:

If Jasmine bellows “Tira, Tira” in My Girl, Vivian screams “Aja, Aja” in Lovers in Paris.

Who could forget the acerbic or comic exchange of dialogues by famous characters in a series? Like Scarlet (Angelica Panganiban) and Catherine (Claudine Barretto) in Iisa Pa Lamang: (Scarlet) Magsu-swimming ka lang naka-diamonds ka pa. (Catherine) Syempre, diamonds are forever. In Tayong Dalawa, Agot Isidro as Ingrid: Are you stalking me? Without batting an eyelash Cherry Pie Picache as Marlene answered: No, I’m not talking to you! Assunta de Rossi is comical in Lovers in Paris. Maricar Reyes (as Karen Roxas): What do you take me for Eunice, stupid? Assunta (as Eunice Gatus): What I take you for? I take you for . . . (long pause) granted! Talk to the hand! (with her palm facing Karen).

The beautiful Gretchen Barretto is now making waves with her impressive portrayal of Victoria in the top-rating teleserye Magkaribal. Will you retreat from her if she challenges you, “If you want war, I’ll give you war”?

How will your react if Sam Milby as the handsome JB Berenguer in Maging Sino Ka Man said to you, “I never said that I love you!”?

Angel Locsin as Lyka said in Lobo, “Hindi sa Tala sa Langit, kundi sa Buwang nakasilip, ibigay ang hiling ng matang nakapikit.” She also professed her undying love when she said, “Kung sakali mang mawala ako bukas, gusto ko lang malaman mo na naging kumpleto ang buhay ko... kasi nakasama kita.. nakilala kita... at minahal kita.” And her leading man Piolo Pascual as Noah promised, “Kahit saan ka magpunta... kahit saang dilim pa yan, hahanapin kita, kahit sa impiyerno pa yan susundan kita. Hindi ako papayag na mawala ka na sa akin. Pangako yan.”
