General Trias celebrates town fiesta

MANILA, Philippines - The historic Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church, patron saint of pet animals in General Trias, Cavite will celebrate its feast day on Oct. 4 with this year’s theme: San Francisco Hubad sa Mundo, Suot ni Kristo, according to parish priest Fr. Inocencio Poblete Jr.

A trade fair and NBI Clearance on Wheels were held last Sept. 29. Karakol 2010 is set today at 1 p.m. Pabialahay or Pabinyagan ng Alagang Hayop at parish promenade tomorrow, Oct. 2 after the 7 a.m. Mass officiated by Fr. Poblete and Tugtugan sa Plaza at 7 p.m.

There will be All-Star Basketball Exhibition on Oct. 3 at General Trias Sports Center in Barangay San Juan Uno; Fiesta Day on Oct. 4; and procession and fireworks display at night at the town plaza.
