Kapamilya Karavan kicks off

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN Regional Network Group (RNG) brings together the biggest names in the industry in the most colorful regional festivals in the country. Producing memorable provincial and international shows via the Kapamilya Karavan, stars perform for their fans. With lots of prizes for the audience and a rare chance to bond with the stars, Kapamilya of all ages flock to each Kapamilya Karavan, leaving a smile on their faces and if they’re lucky, a few extra bucks, snapshots with their idols and some surprise giveaways like lechon.

In the recent Kadayawan festival in the Gaisano Mall of Davao, John Prats danced with five pretty Davaoeños, Matteo Guidicelli sang live with a flawless falsetto, Angelica Panganiban and Derek Ramsay performed together. To their fan’s envy, Angelica sang for Derek and ended it with a message “Salamat sa proteksiyon, suporta, pagtatanggol at pagmamahal.” Derek responded with “Hindi kita iiwan.” Davao’s local favorites Bam of Pilipinas Got Talent, Big Joe of MOR, Rovic Cuasito and Claudette Centeno of Kapamilya Winner Ka and Nadia Shiami of Mag TV Na Sadya Ta hosted the event that gathered a crowd of 10,000.

The week after, Kapamilya Karavan flew to Cagayan de Oro for the Kagay-An Festival where two male fans had a rare chance of sharing the stage with Maja Salvador whom she allowed to kiss her on the cheek and hold her hand. She brought the house down with her charm and dance moves. A lady from the audience who has been following Diether Ocampo for years now and was a fan of Hector in the series Rubi cried when Diether chose her from among the crowd. Her heart melted when he sang for her and kissed her. Diet shared, “Bihira lang itong pagkakataon na ito kaya I made sure na magiging memorable ito para sa kanya. Ako man, fan din noon kaya alam ko ang feeling.” Dennis Padilla, ABS-CBN RNG’s resident host with local hosts Bernie Bitok Bitok, Lala Morena and Sweet Maricar of MOR 91.9 and Rovic Cuasito of Kapamilya Winner Ka made sure that 5,000 people at the SM CDO Parking were enjoying despite the rains. Bam and child crooner Rolando Ng III of Pilipinas Got Talent wowed the audience with their powerful voices.

The Kapamilya Karavan will fly and fiesta with Bicolanos at the Plaza Quezon on Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. With them are Zaijan Jaranilla, Andi Eigenmann, Zanjoe Marudo and Maja.
