Has Echo found 'the one'?

MANILA, Philippines - It took quite a while, but Jericho Rosales has finally admitted that he has been “exclusively dating” Showbiz News Ngayon segment host Cheska Litton.?Echo made the revelation at the presscon last week for I’ll be There. He had been staying clear of the issue supposedly on the advice of his management team Genesis. 

That doesn’t mean that he and Cheska are officially on, Echo explained. It simply means “I’m not dating anyone else but her.” The revelation puts to rest speculations that Echo and KC Concepcion are already an item. The rumors took wing after he invited KC, his leading lady in I’ll be There, to watch a movie with him.

“This is nothing serious, okay? We were just bonding. Besides, we were supposed to go with several other friends. It was a spur of the moment thing. Anyway, it didn’t happen because we performed instead at the concert of Sir Ogie (Alcasid) for Ondoy victims. That made our first date more relevant.”

I’ll Be There is Star Cinema’s offering for Father’s Day. Echo said he could relate very well to the movie because he has a son, Santino.

How do he and Santino plan to celebrate Father’s Day? “Nothing elaborate. I remember that two years ago, my dad, Santino and I went to the barber together, and even had the same style of haircut.”

Echo suggests that the entire family watch I’ll Be There together. “It’s a good film. Sometimes it’s hard to discuss family issues at home, so this movie will send the message to dads and kids, and hopefully help restore relationships.”

For director Maryo J. Delos Reyes, I’ll Be There becomes even more memorable because it brings together for the first time onscreen KC and her dad Gabby Concepcion. “It won’t happen again for a long time, so you shouldn’t miss it,” direk Maryo said.

I’ll Be There opens June 16 in theaters.
