Search for the next Videoke Idol

MANILA, Philippines - Practice your singing prowess and join World of Fun’s Search for the Next Videoke Idol, now on its fifth year.

World of Fun (WOF), the country’s pioneer in the mall-based Family Entertainment Center (FEC) together with on-line social networking website, Friendster, recently announced the start of registration for the Fifth WOF Videoke Idol Search. Registration started May 1 until screening date in all participating WOF outlets nationwide.

Contestants will be exposed to a wider range of audiences through live performances on TV and on-line.

Participants are grouped into three categories, Kids Category for 8 to 12 years old; Teens Category, 13 to 21 years old; and the Senior Category, 22 to 30 years old. The contest is open to all World of Fun customers and patrons with no professional singing experience. Interested participants must submit the following: Proof of birth, 2x2 ID picture, and photocopy of any valid ID. Parental consent is required for participants below 18 years old.

“We’re very happy with the turnout of participants in the past years, since we launched this contest five years ago, and we’re hoping that the number of WOF Videoke Idol enthusiasts will continue to grow,” says Antonio Abaya Jr., WOF GM.
