AYOS Na holds Prinsipyo Day

-

MANILA, Philippines - Advocates of Youth and Students for Noynoy Aquino (AYOS NA) has added a new spin to May 1, traditionally considered worldwide as workers’ day, as the nation enters May 10 — the most important political exercise in the country at the end of this decade.

Tonight at 7 Ayos Na, led by national lead convenor Dingdong Dantes will hold the Araw ng Prinsipyo o “Prinsipyo Ko, Walang Presyo” at San Andres Sports Complex Manila.

In cooperation with Myphone Philippines, the event will showcase the youth’s talent in public speaking, singing, playing rap and reciting poems for the purpose of expressing their own stories, struggles and firm conviction that their principles and hopes are not for sale.

Ang Prinsipyo Ko, Walang Presyo is Dingdong’s simple message at Araneta Coliseum last Feb. 25. It carries on the legacy left behind by Ninoy and Cory and underpins the so called people’s campaign for Sen. Noynoy Aquino which is now shifting into vote protection mode in anticipation of electoral fraud and massive vote buying initiated by moneyed candidates.

Thousands of youth, celebrities, fans and entrepreneurs are expected to attend this eventful day.

Members of Dingdong and Marian Rivera’s fans club will also join and express their support for Prinsipyo Day. Stars and supporters of Kapamilya and Kapuso — the opposing camps that separate Filipino audiences today — will stand as one and speak a common voice for the sake of our country’s future.

Aljur Abrenica, Gabby Eigenmann, Angelika dela Cruz, Maricris Garcia, Jonalyn Viray, Aicelle Santos, Erik Santos, Coco Martin, Jodi Sta. Maria, Boy Abunda, Ogie Alcasid and Kris Aquino will grace the event.

Ayos Na secretary general Elmer Argano said entrance to Prinsipyo Day is free and open to the public, especially to the working class and urban poor communities living in San Andres and Malate.
