Ahmir releases The Covers Collection

MANILA, Philippines - From the streets of Boston, New York, and with Philadelphia roots comes Ahmir, an all-male R&B group touted as the Most Popular R&B Group on YouTube. Ahmir has over six million views with over 45 videos, catalogues of covers featuring hit songs such as Beyonce’s Halo, Keri Hilson’ Knock You Down, Chris Brown’s Forever and more.

With a collection of cutting-edge R&B covers that have made them a worldwide success, the band has released its new album entitled The Covers Collection led by the powerful cover of The Climb. It is now available through Polyeast Records.

Ahmir has a string of successful singles on YouTube . The group borrowed songs from Miley Cyrus with The Climb as the album’s kick off single, to Beyonce’s Halo, to Owl City’s Fireflies; Jonas Brothers’ When You Look Me in The Eyes, Ne-Yo’s Closer; Britney Spears’ Womanizer; Doesn’t Mean Anything originally by Alicia Keys, Moving Mountains from Usher, Bye-Bye originally from Mariah Carey the Beatles’ In My Life and Goodbye from Lyfe Jennings.

Completing the album are the ballads No Place Like Home and Come Back.
