Polyeast releases Libera's Peace

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Peace follows the success of Libera’s (photo) best-selling albums Eternal (2-CD Greatest Hits Collection), Angel Voices DVD-Libera Live in Concert and New Dawn (featuring Libera’s rendition of Bayan Ko) as released by Polyeast Records. Each CD is characterized by the ensemble’s distinct celestial band sound with mystical chords and ecstatic harmonies. Peace, this British boy band’s fifth CD for EMI Classics, is now available in record outlets.

Described as a new age and classical collection, Peace boasts of recognizable melodies from the Adagio from Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, an almost-obligatory John Rutter number and several traditional works, mostly arranged by Libera’s mastermind, Robert Prizeman.

Libera’s original sound is both ancient and modern. Their flowing white robes symbolize the traditional origins of their style but their music reaches out across generations to a mainstream audience.

EMI Classics is scheduled to release a luxury CD+DVD edition of Peace in November. Libera’s success also made the group return to the Philippines to do their Philippine Summer Promo Tour with the following schedule — Meet and Greet at The Podium on April 14, 5 p.m.; a concert at Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, 4/L, RCBC Plaza Makati City, April 16 (matinee show at 3 p.m. and gala show at 8 p.m.). Autograph signing follows after each show.
