My Favorite Recipes goes north on 3rd season
MANILA, Philippines - This month, Q-11’s My Favorite Recipes guides viewers on alternative summer destinations to mark its third season.
Led by China Cojuangco, the show comes up with new, interesting recipes using local ingredients or delicacies from the provinces up north.
First stop is the historic city of Vigan. Tomorrow, April 5, China brings new twists to Vigan delicacies as she prepares Vigan Longanisa over Toast plus her own version of Royal Bibingka and Bagnet.
China then whips up sumptuous dishes which are local to Vigan on April 6, Crispy Fried Hito, Longga-Burger and Chicken in Orange Sauce.
On April 7, she exposes the viewers to new flavors as she shows how to cook BBQ Glaze Beef Falls, Egg Noodles with Vigan Longanisa, and Shrimp with 3-Cheese Casserole.
Thursday’s (April 8) treats are inspired by different European dishes that once influenced the old Vigan — Beef Enchiladas, Seafood Chowder and Longanisa and Mushroom Pasta.
To wrap up the week, China gives hefty servings of Honey Apple Chicken, Tuna Dumplings and Crustless Meatpie on April 9.
Discover new recipes as China explores the rustic beauty of Vigan this week on My Favorite Recipes. Watch out for the next food invasion in Pampanga and Baguio, destinations that will help one turn ordinary recipes into “my favorite recipes.”
My Favorite Recipes airs Monday to Friday at 10:40 a.m., and 6:10 p.m.; Saturdays at 10:45 a.m., 2 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.; and Sundays, 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 9:10 p.m.
