Celebrities join the Kitchen Wars

MANILA, Philippines - Snooky Serna, Epy Quizon, Yayo Aguila, Eula Valdes, William Martinez, Carlos Morales and Bamboo lead guitarist Ira Cruz will showcase their kitchen skills and whip up their specialty dishes in the “celebrity edition” of the grand Kitchen Wars and Food Festival 2010 celebrations tomorrow, March 11 until March 13 in the Subic Freeport complex.

Marijo Viray, festival manager, said the celebrities will   help make the first giant food fiesta to be organized in the country this week extra successful.

Viray said that the food festival, which will be staged through the partnership between the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and leading Olongapo City-based culinary school Blue Spoon Culinaire headed by Le Cordon Bleu of London-trained founder-owner Chef Adrian Viray, will also be a venue for Filipino chefs to showcase their skills to their countrymen after gaining recognition in their work as executive chefs in top restaurants and hotels abroad.
