Has Echo found a new love?

Diehard Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa fans wish to have their idols back in each others’ arms. But there’s talk that Echo is seeing a new girl while Tintin is supposedly with Oyo Sotto.

A few months ago, hopes were high that Echo and Tintin will be romantically reunited when they worked together in the teleserye Dahil May Isang Ikaw.

If Oyo were not in the picture, was it possible that Echo and Tintin would reconcile? No one knows. Echo, on his part, was linked to Cindy Kurleto, Heart Evangelista, Karylle, Brianna Evigan and Carmen Soo.

Echo and Tintin may be sweet on and off the screen but it seems highly improbable for the two to be together again. Just like the old Tagalog saying, Kung hindi uukol, hindi bubukol, a TinTin-Echo romance is not near the horizon. According to the Internet, the alleged new girl in Echo’s life is none other than SNN reporter, the pretty, smart Cesca Litton. It was reported that they were spotted together inside her car parked somewhere in Eastwood Mall last Jan. 24.

Cesca was a sportscaster and radio personality before she joined SNN. According to the entertainment blogsite www.darlasauler.com, Echo and Cesca were spotted together several times since last December. They were also seen inside a wine shop somewhere in Pasig after ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special at the Araneta Coliseum.

Will Echo duck from the issue linking him to Cesca? I’m sure he will face the music. Echo’s sense of truth is his strength both as an actor and as an interviewee. In the many interviews I have done with him, I have seen him euphoric, morose, weeping and tickled pink.

During the story conference of his latest movie under Star Cinema, Echo curtly answered, “We’ve been hanging out. That’s all I can say,” when asked about the issue linking him to Cesca. He also gave a thumbs up sign when asked how he finds Cesca.

Echo has the right to love and be loved in return. I suspect he’s almost there!

A dual role for Andi

If Hollywood has the Barrymores, the Fondas, the Baldwins, the Osbournes, the Rosellinis and the Sheens, the country also teems with famous showbiz clans like the Gutierrezes, the Padillas, the Salvadors, the Cruzes and the Eigenmanns who are well-known for their talent in acting, singing and dancing. They are showbiz royalty.

And local showbiz is filled with second or third generation family of actors: The Gutierrezes have siblings Ruffa, Richard, Raymond, Rocky, Elvis and Ritchie Paul; the Padillas have sisters Queenie and Kylie; the Cruzes, brothers Rayver and Rodjun and cousins Sheryl, Sunshine, Donna and Geneva; the Eigenmanns have Sid Lucero, Maxene, Andi, Gabby, brothers Ryan, Geoff and AJ, and the Salvadors have Maja and comebacking actor Joebelle.

Speaking of the Eigenmanns, Andi is now the freshest face on TV with her new series Agua Bendita on ABS- CBN’s Primetime Bida. Andi plays a dual role in the series — as the twins Agua and Bendita who have opposite personalities and physical differences. Andi was handpicked for the lead role. She didn’t audition for it.

ABS-CBN has full confidence and trust on Andi. She is blessed with the acting genes of her parents Jaclyn Jose and Mark Gil. Undoubtedly, Andi will also follow in her parents’ footsteps.

“I hope that I will have the chance to prove myself as an actress. That it will come from me with the help of my parents and not only because I am their daughter,” Andi said.

This is not Andi’s first time on the small screen. She was part of the afternoon series Prinsesa ng Banyera which starred Kristine and TJ Trinidad. She joined the MYX VJ Search in 2009. She was the second house player for Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus but she made a voluntary exit early in the game.

Andi is destined to be a star. This girl shimmers with brilliance and the powerful X-factor!
