MANILA, Philippines - Be the first to watch the 16th installment of The Amazing Race on local TV live via satellite every Monday starting Feb. 15 at 9 a.m. or watch it first on primetime same day at 7 p.m. on Studio 23.

The Amazing Race gets even more intense this season as 16 teams battle it out and travel across borders for a shot at the $1-M jackpot prize. CBS recently unveiled its diverse tandems which consists of Big Brother 11 winner and her boyfriend, lesbians, rodeo cowboy brothers, grandmother and granddaughter, Asian-American parents, Miss South Carolina 2007 and her boyfriend, police detectives, Jewish brothers, and many more.

Meanwhile, Smallville’s two-hour special episode dubbed as Absolute Justice airs on Feb. 17 and Feb. 24 at 9 p.m. Some of the famous comic book superheroes Dr. Fate, Hawkman, and Star Girl from the Justice Society of America join forces with Clark Kent, John Jones, Green Arrow and Chloe to stop a killer on the loose.

Studio 23 also brings you highly-acclaimed television specials.

Step into the red carpet with Hollywood’s biggest stars on the 82nd Academy Awards airing on March 9 at 7 p.m.

Relive the unforgettable 1986 People Power revolution in HBO’s A Dangerous Life that was aired on ABS-CBN in 1988, which chronicles the historical events that led to the peaceful restoration of democracy in the Philippines. The mini-series earned a Best Actress nomination for Tessie Tomas at the International Emmy for her portrayal of Imelda Marcos. It also stars Laurice Guillen as former Pres. Cory Aquino, Ruben Rustia as former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Joonee Gamboa as Juan Ponce Enrile, and Ray Ventura as former Pres. Fidel Ramos.

For sports fans, get your weekly dose of football updates in The Road to Johannesburg, a 30-minute show about the FIFA World Cup South Africa hosted by Marco Benitez and Mia Cabalfin, airing Wednesday nights at 10:30 beginning Feb. 24.

On the local front, Studio 23 also spices up its local programming to cater more to its youth market. Beginning Feb. 20, short-E program Quick-E hosted by Aaron Atayde brings you 30 minutes of the latest technology news and gadgets at 6:30 p.m. Y-Speak hosted by Bianca Gonzales also returns with episodes at 7 p.m.
