UE launches FEEL program

MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East (UE)-Manila, through its Guidance and Counseling Office (GCO), will hold a seminar and film showing in connection with its FEEL program.

Mulan, True Love Waits and The Iron Ladies will be shown for free today and on Feb. 16, 17, 18 at the Audiovisual Room 2, UE Education Bldg., for high school students, and today at the UE Conference Hall, for college students.

The seminar titled A Closer Look at Your Sexuality, with Dr. Benedicta Lascano as resource speaker, is set tomorrow, Feb. 12 at the UE Conference Hall, Fourth Floor, Dalupan Bldg., UE Manila. Lascano, guidance services specialist of the University of the Philippines and former president of Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA), will start her talk at 9 a.m. for college students and resume it at 1:30 p.m., for high school students.

The seminar and the film showing are part of the activities for the FEEL (Fostering hEalthy sExuality across alL gender identities) program UE GCO-Manila, headed by director Leonila Urrea. It was launched to promote increased sensitivity of one’s sexuality among students, to know the extent of expressing personhood and sexual preference, and sex role orientation, resulting in a healthier expression of feelings and self-concept.
