The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - YesPinoy Foundation (YPF), led by Dingdong Dantes (photo), will lead the running community for a book run tomorrow, Jan. 31, aimed at drumming up public sector support for its charity drive to solicit books for students and their schools destroyed by the last string of typhoons.

The marathon, which will be held at 5 a.m. at the Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City, hopes to gather around 2,000 runners for the 3K, 5K and 10K legs, with National Bookstore as main advocacy partner. Interested parties may join by logging on to www.yespinoy.org or by personally signing up at the R.O.X. store in Bonifacio High Street.

The event is sponsored by San Marinop, Mario D Boro, PGA Cars, Goldilocks, Nature Valley, Rudy Project, Belo, Bench Clear, ROX, LazerXtreme, The Philippine STAR, Magic 89.9, Barangay LS and Takbo.ph.

Organized last Aug. 21, 2009, YPF’s advocacy is centered on promoting education by way of tertiary scholarship grants to the children of fallen personnel of the Philippine Marines.
