Rotary International training seminar

MANILA, Philippines - Rotary International District 3810 will hold its Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (P.E.T.S.) Module I in Kimberly Hotel, Tagaytay City today. The program aims to prepare presidents of different Rotary Clubs in Manila, Pasay, Cavite and Occidental Mindoro for their year of service on Rotary Year 2010-2011.

It will be attended by at least 70 club presidents from the four cities and provinces, and at least 50 other future leaders of the district. District 3810 will be under the leadership of District Gov. Tranquil Salvador III, charter president of Rotary Club of Malate, on that Rotary year.

Tranquil, a lawyer and a partner of prestigious law firm of Romulo, Mabanta, Buenaventura, Sayoc and De los Angeles. He is the president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Quezon City Chapter.

The institutionalized project of Rotary International consist of, among others, Local and World Community Service, Youth Exchange, Peace Scholarship Grants, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Rotary Community Corps (for communities), Rotaracts (College Students), Interacts (high school students), literacy, hunger and poverty alleviation, health care, environment protection and its flagship Polio Plus.
