A Flawless 2009

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It was a fantastic year for Flawless Face & Body Center. The past year has been incredible, with celebrations and milestones for the company, whose motto, “Less is More,” encompasses the company’s philosophy of providing more for less.

The year began with a re-launch of the firm to a brighter and more innovative image, with a distinctive pink company color. The color, and indeed the company’s new philosophy, easily sets Flawless apart from other firms, encompassing the clinic’s youthful and energetic vibe. With endorsers that include Lorna Tolentino, Judy Ann Santos, Mark Herras, Richard Gutierrez, Yasmien Kurdi, Alyssa Alano and Butch Francisco, Flawless has re-branded itself into the fun, stylish and modern destination for fantastic and personalized service, affordable products and advanced treatments that combat any type of skin problem. With doctors in every single one of its 31 clinics nationwide, Flawless commits to giving its patients and stakeholders only the best — with an evident fun feel, where Less is definitely more. Says Rubby Sy, Flawless CEO, “We want to give our patients something new and different, because skin care isn’t boring and tedious. Skin care is directly linked to beauty and attractiveness. By making skincare an enjoyable experience, at extraordinary value-for-money options, beauty is in everyone’s reach!”

To follow through with the triumph of their new image and personality, Flawless launched Picture Flawless in October. The campaign, which is the search for the next Flawless endorser, is open to all ages and lifestyles, and has already more than 1,000 contestants vying for the incredible prizes — P800,000 cash and a year-long endorsement contract with Flawless, inclusive of a billboard. The tagline of the campaign, “Because you deserve a billboard, just the way you are” encompasses the company’s advocacy of beauty at everyone’s fingertips. Rubby expounds, “We want (you) to realize that (you) are beautiful, just the way you are! There’s flawlessness in everyone. What sets you apart? What makes you different? That’s your flawless characteristic. That’s precisely what may win you that billboard.” The search for contestants goes on until Dec. 31.

In early January, 22 semi-finalists will be chosen — 11 boys, 11 girls — who will undergo strict training and personality development care of Flawless’ supportive partners, Ever Bilena and John Robert Powers. In February, the Top 2 will be chosen, the next endorsers of Flawless.

Last Dec. 8, serendipitously on its eighth anniversary, Flawless received the best birthday gift through the 2009 Outstanding Filipino Retailer of the Year Award from the Philippine Retailers Association. Rubby accepted the award on-stage with her son, Mikael. “I agree with Mr. (Jorge) Mendiola’s inspiring closing remarks,” comments Rubby. “This award is just an indication of how hard we should continue to work to provide above-par customer service to our patients, and we must always serve as an example to our peers — within Flawless, and to our stakeholders. We are, nevertheless, honored and pleased to have been considered.”

Flawless offers fantastic discounts and product offerings in all its branches during their anniversary. “We wanted to give something back to our patients for eight years of support,” remarks Rubby. “We wouldn’t have lasted this long without the unswerving loyalty and care of our patients.”
