Was it an accident or another 'attempt'?

MANILA, Philippines - That Dr. Hayden Kho is confined at the Manila Doctors Hospital is confirmed.

But the “big why” has remained a mystery since Hayden himself and those close to him are tight-lipped.

According to the tabs, Hayden reportedly took nine Ecstasy pills, drove to Tagaytay and hit a tree. Presumed reason: He has been depressed after his doctor’s license was revoked by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) after he was accused of videotaping his intimate moments with Kapuso Katrina Halili and Kapamilya Maricar Reyes.

Reports also said that he was rushed to the Emergency Room of the De La Salle Hospital in Dasmariñas, Cavite, where his good friend Dr. Vicki Belo was waiting for him.

This time last year, Hayden took an overdose of mixed pills that almost killed him. It happened on the heels of reports that Vicki had decided to break up with him after she confirmed his affair with Katrina.

From Cavite, Hayden was brought to Manila Doctors Hospital where his father, Dr. Hayden Kho Sr., is a resident physician.

Here’s the official statement of Manila Doctors Hospital:

“Dr. Hayden Kho Jr. was admitted to this hospital very early this morning (Dec. 4). He was running a very high fever and was throwing up with severe abdominal pains.

“Initial impression is that he is suffering from intestinal flu, although stress-induced gastric ulcer is also being considered.

“The Kho family is requesting for privacy. No visitors are allowed at this time.

“He was admitted under the care of his father, Dr. Hayden Kho.”

Only last month, Hayden opened The Lounge bar (along Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City) in partnership with two friends. Friday night, he was supposed to host an event in The Lounge.

He’s currently taking up his MBA at Ateneo.
