MANILA, Philippines - Tonight in GMA 7’s Mel & Joey, host Joey de Leon will get a tribute from individuals whose lives he has touched and inspired.

Mike “Pekto” Nacua used to be a set designer’s crew member until Joey spotted him and gave him a break by casting him on an ABC 5 show. Pekto expresses his respect to his discoverer-mentor.

Igan D’Bayan, a Joey fan since his grade school, considers the host-comedian as an influence in his career.
