Brillante films on Watchpad

MANILA, Philippines - PLDT myDSL has once again introduced another first to its subscribers — the revolutionary Watchpad.

On Watchpad, there’s something for everyone. With Cignal HD as content provider, PLDT myDSL subscribers can now watch the hottest TV shows from their favorite channels right on their computers. They also get to play the coolest on-line games and hang out with their favorite celebrities, all in one exclusive entertainment portal. While surfing, subscribers can even update their Facebook, Multiply and Twitter accounts, without having to leave the Watchpad page. Watchpad is available nationwide and it’s free.

Starting this month, Watchpad will feature indie films exclusively on myFlicks, Watchpad’s one-stop movie central. For its grand premiere, myFlicks is showcasing the lustrous list of award-winning films from Brillante Mendoza.

 Bagging the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival Best Director award for his controversial Kinatay, Brillante won the award over filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino and Ang Lee. He also became the first Filipino to get the prestigious recognition. For four years he has directed eight films and many of which have won critical acclaim. Some of the films that will also shown on Watchpad are Serbis, Twilight Dancers, Masahista, Manoro and Foster Child.
