Obsessed exclusive screening at Ayala cinemas

-

MANILA, Philippines - Starring Beyoncé Knowles and Ali Larter, Columbia Pictures’ frightening psychological thriller Obsessed will be shown exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4 and Greenbelt 3) starting today.

In the US No. 1 hit film, Beyoncé Knowles stars as Sharon Charles, a smart young woman with a charmed life. She has a handsome husband, Derek (Idris Elba); a sweet young son; and they’ve just moved into their dream home thanks to Derek’s recent promotion.

Then one day Derek meets a new temp at the office: Lisa (Larter). Beautiful, poised and perpetually cheerful, Lisa is the perfect co-worker. Soon Derek finds her crying at work over a boyfriend and tries to comfort her. Then Lisa comes on to him at the company Christmas party, and he firmly tells her she’s got the wrong idea. The next day she tries again. Lisa won’t take no for an answer, and begins to come more and more unhinged with each and every refusal. Soon, Derek becomes terrified by how far it appears Lisa’s obsession will go.

Obsessed is a dark tale of what can happen in the workplace,” says executive producer Glenn Gainor. “A very perverse love triangle is created, unwillingly.” When Lisa’s obsession takes a sinister turn, it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top of the twisted triangle — or who will survive at all.

“This film honestly is a great thriller,” adds Elba. “I don’t think it’s going to be what people expect.”

Obsessed is distributed by Columbia Pictures, local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International.
