Getting nostalgic with Patti Page
MANILA, Philippines - The concert Patti Page: The Greatest Hits Tour, which was delayed by scheduling problems, will finally push through on Sept. 4 at the Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City and on Sept. 6 at the Araneta Coliseum.
While Lady Gaga and Marié Digby appeal to the younger set, Patti’s concert is expected to draw a more mature crowd. She will sing her biggest hits, which include Changing Partners, the novelty song How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?, Mockin’ Bird Hill, With My Eyes Wide Open, I’m Dreaming and her most popular hit, Tennesee Waltz.
Tennesee Waltz spent 13 weeks at No. 1 between 1950 and 1951 in the US. It was such a hit that the state of Tennessee adopted it as their state song.
Patti is one of the few singers to have enjoyed chart success in five separate decades. She continues to perform around the world although she is already in her 80s.
Tickets to Patti Page: The Greatest Hits Tour — mounted by All Access Productions — are available at all SM Ticketnet outlets and at the Araneta Coliseum Box Office. Meanwhile, tickets to Patti’s Cebu City show are available at Waterfront Hotel Lahug Lobby, SM Customer Service and Ayala Customer Service.
