Recognition for Rep. Tieng

MANILA, Philippines - Rep. William Irwin Tieng (center) receives a plaque of appreciation given at the thanksgiving dinner for the passage of Republic Act (RA) 9640, which reduces amusement tax from 30 percent to a minimum of 10 percent. Irwin was the main proponent of the House of Representatives Bill 5624 which led to the amendment of the Amusement Tax Law. With him are (from left) program host Giselle Toengi, National Cinema Association of the Philippines (NCAP) president engineer Ric Camaligan, Movie Producers, Distributors Association of the Philippines president Wilson Tieng and Philippine Motion Pictures Producers Association president Orly Ilacad at the Garden Ballroom of the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.
