When Life Begins at 60
MANILA, Philippines - Life Begins at 60, which airs Fridays, 5 to 6 p.m. on Radio Veritas 846 khz AM, has been getting praises from the elderly and senior citizens.
From its initial broadcast in May 2008, the socially-relevant program is now getting broader listenership nationwide as various organizations of senior citizens like Office of the Senior Citizens coordinate with the program to air concerns, complaints and grievances and report their activities.
Through the program, listeners, young and old are informed and enlightened on news and issues through commentaries of the anchors and their invited resource persons.
Host Ernie dela Cruz, lawyer Fe Nieves Bagacina-Kangleon and civic leader Raffy Chico acquaint listeners of rights and privileges they must enjoy and talk about their health concerns by guesting doctors, medical practitioners, dieticians and others. Noly Villafuerte, coordinator of Federation of Barangay Councils of Makati and a senior citizen himself reports developments in Congress and government agencies.
