MANILA, Philippines - Perk up your midweek viewing with 2nd Avenue’s latest line-up of programs for July.

Filipino pride never burned so bright when Filipino-American Dale Talde made his way to Chicago as one of the 16 contestants of Top Chef Season 4 on 2nd Ave. During the season, the 29-year-old sous chef from New York impressed the judges with his distinct Filipino style, especially after memorably whipping up a stylized version of our very own halo-halo. Starting tomorrow, July 29, 10 p.m., it will let you relive the Fil-Am sensation’s best moments in the The Best of Dale Talde. The seven-episode special will feature the highlights of Talde’s Top Chef run, including Anything You Can, Film Food, The Elements, Tail Gaiting, Improv, Common Threads and Serve and Protect.

Get ready for twice the weight and twice the drama, as The Biggest Loser: Couples Edition premieres on 2nd Avenue.

In the fifth season of the hit weight loss reality competition, 10 heavyweight couples from across America will compete head to head in a series of physical challenges for a price of $250,000. Taking on hosting reins once again is actress Allison Sweeney, while returning as resident trainers are Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels. Catch the fifth season of The Biggest Loser airing Wednesday nights at 9.

Ellen Degeneres scored a whopping 12 nominations for her hit syndicated daytime program, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Among the awards up for grabs are Outstanding Talk Show Host and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show.
