MANILA, Philippines – Sarah Geronimo is helping spread the smiles to Filipino children everywhere. The country’s first Sony Ericsson Smile Ambassador is supporting the company’s Spread the Smiles campaign, a special project for the benefit of UNICEF.

The popular singer and actress, fresh from a US concert tour, takes center stage in the campaign to collect a million smile photos and raise a million pesos for UNICEF. Every smile photo collected through different venues is equivalent to a peso donation to UNICEF.

Anyone can donate a smile in Sony Ericsson Experience Shops nationwide; through Smile Booths in participating SM Malls, and through the campaign’s official website at www.sonyericsson.com/spreadthesmiles.  

As Sony Ericsson Smile Ambassador, Sarah also gets to present the ultimate experience for fans. Sony Ericsson is introducing what it has dubbed as the “Sarah Phone,” the 3.2-megapixel Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot phone in the new stylish, Energetic Red color.

The C510 Sarah Phone has an auto focus camera with a protective sliding lens cover, photo fix, face detection and the new Smile Shutter, a technology that focuses on a person’s smile before capturing the photo. One can post photos and videos directly to their blog. The phone is also YouTube-enabled and will soon offer easy access to Facebook.

This special limited edition C510 also features Sarah wallpapers, Sarah screensavers, and a Sarah graphic theme that you can view on the crystal clear 2.2-inch display. Sarah will perform at a Spread the Smiles concert to present the UNICEF donation, and take time to meet special fans.
