The Cruzin' Band in Singapore

MANILA, Philippines – The CRUZIn’ Band will render jazz and fusion numbers at the Philippine Independence Day celebration at Hong Lim Park Garden both in Singapore today and tomorrow.

The group is made up of Eric Cruz (tenor); Monaliza Darao (soprano 1); Julie Anne Pumanes-Reyes (soprano 2); Ma. Abigail Clutario (alto); Deo Fortunato Cruz (tenor); Lawrence Jatayna (bass);  Bong Gonzales (bass guitar); Bong Singson (keyboards); and Willy Elazegui (drums).

The vocalists, initially known as Circle of Fifths, are products of conservatories and singing groups around the country. The musicians, who come from the 6T2nd Band, have a loyal following at Stonehouse along E. Rodriguez Ave., Quezon City. They have performed with bands in the Philippines, Europe and other parts of Asia.

The CRUZin’ band will join other Filipino performers in the event, held to mark the celebration of Philippine Independence in Singapore from June 5 to 29.
