Kerygma Conference 2009 slated

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Bo Sanchez recently launched Kerygma Conference 2009, the biggest Catholic learning event in the country.

Centered on the theme Dream Big, Win Big, Kerygma Conference 2009 will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on Nov. 28, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 29, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kerygma Conference 2009 includes celebration of the Holy Mass, lively worship, powerful talks by Sanchez and the Kerygma Preachers, and a healing session to be led by Bob Canton, the US and Caribbean representative to the Vatican-based International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Service (ICCRS).

The conference started out in 2006 as rallies of readers of Kerygma magazine, the leading Catholic inspirational magazine in the country, named after the Greek word kerygma, which means proclamation of the Gospel. In succeeding years, Sanchez led the Kerygma Conference 2007 and Kerygma Conference 2008 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City which attracted not only Kerygma readers but also people from all walks of life seeking spiritual renewal and healing.

Shepherd’s Voice Radio and Television Foundation (SVRTVF) and Shepherd’s Voice Publications, Inc. produce Kerygma Conference, which, for the first time, will be simulcast in Cebu City.

Kerygma Conference 2009 is presented by the Light of Jesus Family whose beneficiaries include Anawim, a home for abandoned elderly; He Cares, a home for street children; and Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, home for abandoned children.
