Lilia Dizon plays 'Mater Dolorosa'

Lilia Dizon lives up to her fame as a versatile actress in the 1960 LVN movie Awit ng mga Dukha. She plays a mater dolorosa.

The blurb says it all:

‘All her sacrifices were for her children. But how can she face them now that she is branded an ex-convict?’

Playing her children are Lourdes Medel, Guy Donato and Mila Ocampo. Sharing stellar billing with them is Bernard Bonnin as Lourdes‘ love interest.

Lilia is also at home in comedy, fantasy and costume pictures: Kaaway ng Babae, Makabagong Pilipina, Bathaluman, Tucydides, Venus, Doce Pares, Sanda Wong.

She won a Best Actress award in Kandelerong Pilak at the 1954 Cambodia Film Festival. —RKC
