Willie has 'edifice complex'

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Wowowee host Willie ‘Wil’ Revillame sees his long-time dream of having his own building coming true. Yes, he has an ‘edifice complex.’

Last May 13, Willie (above, with ABS-CBN Talent Center head Johnny ‘Mr. M’ Manahan) led the ground-breaking of the P600-M 10-storey Wil Theater Mall on the lot he bought located at the Eugenio Lopez Drive (across the ABS-CBN studio), Quezon City.

The mall, with two basements and a 200-car parking area, is designed by architect Jonathan Gan, with Jose Aliling as engineer for construction management. ‘Mr. M’ is the theater consultant.

Also present during the ground-breaking ceremony were ABS-CBN Corporate Communications head Bong Osorio, Wowowee director Edgar Mortiz, architect Gan, ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio, Channel 2 head Cory Vidanes, Willie’s manager Arlene de Castro, Willie’s friend Rey Reyes and ABS-CBN Entertainment Production head Linggit Tan... and Willie’s co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang, Saicy Aguila and RR Enriquez.
