Kinatay team now in Cannes

MANILA, Philippines - The stars (Coco Martin, Mercedes Cabral and Antonio del Rosario) of Kinatay, the Philippine entry at the Cannes Filmfest, met Sid Lucero (second from left) at the Cannes airport upon their arrival last Saturday, May 16. They made a five-hour stopover in Dubai where they were joined by director Tikoy Aguiluz (leftmost). At the Palais Stephanie where the group is billeted, they were welcomed by French producer Didier Costet and The Match Factory people who are the sales agent of Kinatay (directed by Brillante ‘Dante’ Mendoza). The Kinatay team had its photo call last Sunday at 10 a.m. and the official red-carpet screening at 4:30 p.m. that same day. With the group is Ferdinand Lapuz (third from right), Kinatay co-producer and The STAR’s Toronto-based ‘international correspondent.’
