Summer shaking at the TV5 Live Caravan series

-

MANILA, Philippines - The recently-concluded second installment to the TV5 Live Caravan was a huge success. Held recently at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, the whole-day event drew more than 12,000 people.  Most of them were viewers of TV5 who enjoyed the different program booths, games, stars, and variety show that the channel prepared.

The affair is in sync with the thrust of the channel of bringing TV5 closer to its viewers.  According to Jasper Evangelista, SVP for Brand Management of TV5, “The objective of the TV5 Live Caravan is to promote TV5 shows and make the viewers go through the TV5 experience. We want to make it real for the audience and we have planned for TV5 stars to roam the venue and entertain the people via stage performances.  This is also fulfilling our promise of giving our televiewers the thank you they deserve for consistently pushing us up in the ratings game.”

As a summer thanksgiving party, TV5 Live Caravan kicked off with fun activities that were perfect for the whole family as well as for professionals who spent the holiday enjoying the event. Kids who were playing at the inflatable slide from Kids Republic, Barney, Bob the Builder, and Toogs booths had an extra dose of fun when their favorite Sesame Street characters Cookie Monster and Elmo appeared on stage to dance and play along with everyone.

For the older set, there was the makeover booth for Everybody Hapi where beauty and wellness store Skinfood provided make-up tips; a trivia and hourly raffle set where Philips portable DVD players were given away for the Who Wants to be a Millionaire? booth, free Glitter tattoo at the Juicy booth, and World of Fun entertainment systems matched with the other shows of TV5 like the Pump It Up dance experience for Shall We Dance? and House of the Dead shooting game for Midnight DJ among other games and programs.

The caravan also featured celebrity gatherings and performances including the live taping of Juicy!, hosted by Alex Gonzaga and IC Mendoza, with Polo Ravales and Pauleen Luna as guests.

Pinoy talents were also showcased as an actual audition was also held during the day for top-rating show Talentadong Pinoy, hosted on-air by Ryan Agoncillo.

The crowd became more ecstatic when TV5 celebrities delivered their performances onstage such as from the gang of Lokomoko High, Lipgloss barkada, Everybody Hapi star Roxanne Guinoo, Oyo Sotto with Midnight DJ co-stars Desiree del Valle and Joaqui Tupas, Ogags host Arianna Barouk, and Regine Tolentino for Shall We Dance?.  The event was wrapped around with a live hourly coverage of Take 5 hosted by Mikee Lee and Cara Eriguel. Another highlight of the event was the appearance of bands Moonstar 88 and Parokya ni Edgar who energetically performed for the audiences.

The event was supported by Magnolia Powdered Fruit Tea drinks, V-fresh candy, Mall of Asia, Philips, Skinfood, Kids Republic, Albergus, Air21, and World of Fun.
