Coming soon: Kim Chiu's dream house

Kim Chiu will soon build her dream house, just like her partner Gerald Anderson who is building his own dream house, actually a bachelor’s pad now on its finishing touches.

“I envy Gerald. He now has his own house and lot. We started together on Pinoy Big Brother. But I was thinking twice of buying a house because I was afraid that I would have nothing left in my savings. Seeing Gerald so sure of what he wants, I decided to build my own house,” explains Kim.

And while Kim is still planning her dream house, she is helping Gerald with the house furnishings. She has also gifted Gerald a two-door refrigerator which some say is worth P100,000.

I wonder what Gerald will give Kim.

George and Cecil

ABS-CBN’s new comedy show George and Cecil, topbills engaged couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. The new show will be aired Sunday nights, and is directed by Joey Reyes who also directed Judy Ann and Ryan’s hit movies, Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo and Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo. George and Cecil will employ the same production staff of the two movies. “Komportable na kami sa isa’t isa. We are working with the same group of people,” explains Juday.

In the new comedy series, Juday plays George while Ryan is Cecil. “George is Georgina. She is a toughie. Her work is to create trouble. I play Cecil who cooks when he’s angry. I sound effeminate here and I have traits associated with women,” explains Ryan.

Judy Ann is also flattered to be part of Yes Magazine’s  50 most powerful people of showbiz. “I am both happy and inspired. I just do my work. I love what I do and this is the only thing I know how to do. I am inspired to do the best that I can. I also wish to inspire young people who would want to enter the movie industry,” says Juday.

The men in Claudine’s life

Claudine Barretto says a mouthful about the men in her life in the April issue of Yes Magazine. In the article which showed the “gentler,” “kinder” and more “forgiving” side of the actress, Claudine named the men who affected her most: Mark Anthony Fernandez, Rico Yan and Raymart Santiago. “Mark Anthony is one of the sweetest guys. He is my first love. Nakasira lang talaga yong drugs. And the painful part was people were saying it was because of me.” With Rico Yan, Claudine admits the break-up which happened in November 2001 was because of a third party. Rico had a fling with another girl. “It wasn’t serious. It was just a fling but to me that was betrayal and betrayal is a big thing.” Her admission that a third party caused her break-up with Rico is contrary to public perception that it was the other way around. “I know na ganun ang iniisip ng iba. Parang na judge nga ako. I didn’t see the need to explain.”

Claudine admits she was terrified to get into another relationship after her break-up with Rico. “I had this belief that kapag nagka-boyfriend ako, either mamamatay or mag-dra-drugs. I told Raymart then, are you sure manliligaw ka?

With Raymart, Claudine found the meaning of true love. “He is beyond wonderful. Sa past relationships ko laging may insecurities. With Raymart and me, the success of one is the success of the other because we are one.”

That’s what love is all about!

Grace Adriano’s new baby

Last March 21, Grace Adriano, Rosanna Roces’ daughter, gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. The baby, Maja Adriano Amir is Osang’s third grandchild and was born in the C-section of the Marikina Valley Medical Center. Maja is the first granddaughter of the actress. Her two other grandchildren are boys. “It is like I have given birth to another child. Everything that I have asked for were fulfilled,” says Osang. She prayed for a safe delivery for Grace, and a healthy child. “Grace delivered via Caesarian procedure. Suhi ang bata,” Osang reveals. “We made a wager. Filly (the father of the child) said, she looks like me because of the 4D ultrasound. I told him, kamukha ko at kakulay ko yan.”

According to sources, Filly Amir, a Muslim, owns a hotel in Saudi Arabia. Osang doesn’t advise Grace on matters of the heart. “You cannot tell the heart where and when to fall in love. Also, Filly sought my permission to court Grace. He is a Muslim and has a different culture. Despite the cultural differences, it is okay with him to dedicate his child to the Lord. Wala sa kanila kasi ang binyag.”

Grace according to Osang is happy with Filly. “Filly is a beautiful person inside and out,” says Osang.
