Benjie Paras' condo gets a new look

MANILA, Philippines - House Life’s Celebrity Home Make-over series continues tomorrow at   7:25 p.m. on Q-11.

This time, it’s the turn of Benjie Paras’ condo unit to receive a magic spell from House Life’s Tessa Prieto-Valdes. Benjie’s studio-type unit is a good example of space adaptable to different set-ups, but the space has limited area to work on. Proving that she is the queen of house make-overs, Tessa creates bedroom, living, and dining areas out of Benjie’s unit.

Tessa also visits a home constructed by a father and son tandem. Architect Mike Peña and son Paul tour Tessa inside their modern Asian-themed house in Quezon City. Natural materials make the modern house retain its Asian feel while avant-garde art pieces give it its non-traditional edge.

Meanwhile, co-host and do-it-yourself master Tristan Jovellana constructs a piece of furniture with two separate functions — a chair that can be transformed into a ladder.
