Pheepoy, PhilPost's mascot
MANILA, Philippines - Pheepoy, the mascot of the Philippine Postal Corp. (PhilPost) made his debut during the celebration of the Corp.’s 110th anniversary last year.
A project of Annabel Erfelo of the Office of the Assistant Postmaster General for Marketing, the production number was covered live over NBN-Channel 4 People’s Government Mobile Action (PGMA) show of veteran broadcaster Baby O’Brien.
Representing the more than 13,000 postal employees in the country, Pheepoy will be seen traveling in different shopping malls and post offices nationwide.
Inspired by the neighborhood’s friendly and ever dependable postman, Pheepoy’s outgoing spirit, high energy and passion represent the ideal qualities of every PhilPost employee.
Postmaster general Hector R.R. Villanueva said Pheepoy personifies an honest and dedicated postman, whose goal is to deliver the mails rain or shine anywhere in the country and around the world.
“The mascot is also a way of reaching out to kids and families that letter writing is the best tool to communicate and interact in the light of modern technology,” Villanueva added.
