2 decades of Hair Asia
MANILA, Philippines - Hair Asia invites starting and seasoned salon practitioners to avail of the latest aesthetic equipment in its annual Cosmetic Trade Fair. A mammoth market of pampering products from the leading names in the hair and make-up industry, the Cosmetic Trade Fair has been a complementary come-on in Hair Asia’s yearly National Open Championship for Hairstyling and Make-up for the past 20 years.
This year’s offering, set together with the 20th National Open Championship for Hairstyling and Make-up on March 9 at the World Trade Center in Roxas Blvd., features skin-enhancing products, hair care accessories, state-of-the-art salon staples like hairdryers, hot oil steamers and trolleys. Evelyn Alvaran-Cruz reminds everyone to take advantage of the Cosmetic Trade Fair’s major discounts “since buying the products here would obviously save more money than if you were to get the items abroad.” Satellite stages featuring live hair demonstrations by Angelo Justin for Cream Silk hair make-over, Nicole Giardossi, an Australian prosthetic make-up guru will be flown in by the Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty, while Revlon Professional will launch their 2009 Cut & Colour Vintage Collection and Sofia will introduce their new techniques in volume rebonding. Matrix, a leading and multi-awarded professional haircare company in the US will relaunch their SoColor. Dr. Vinson Pineda of DermPharma will answer all hair and skin concerns. Product demos equip hair and make-up artists with the tricks and tools of this hands-on trade.
The Hair Asia Cosmetic Trade Fair will run simultaneously with the 19th National Open Championship for Hairstyling and Make-up Competition. As anniversary offering for this year’s winner, Hair Asia will give away a Chery QQ car sponsored by Iseway Motors as grand prize.
The whole day celebration have production numbers featuring Club Mwah and Maricel Soriano and James Cooper as host for the event.
Guests will get the chance to win major home appliances and electronic gadgets to be raffled off. Special anniversary souvenirs await guests, plus Cream Silk conditioner and Vaniderm soaps.
One of the many highlights of the event is the grand reunion of Hair Asia’s past champions.
Hair guru Alex Carbonell will interpret Revlon Professional’s 2009 Cut and Colour Vintage Collection with Zanjoe Marudo, Rainier Castillo and Jolina Magdangal as models.
