MYX Music Awards set February 26

MANILA, Philippines - On its fourth year, MYX honors hitmakers of the past year in the MYX Music Awards (MMA) today at ABS-CBN’s Dolphy Theater. The biggest names in the Philippine music industry will compete in 19 categories.

After winning four MMA trophies in 2008, Sarah Geronimo leads the pack with seven nominations including Favorite Female Artist where she’s up against Kyla, Rachelle Ann Go, Regine Velasquez, and Yeng Constantino.

Sandwich and Rico Blanco are close behind with six and five nominations, respectively. Rico faces off with Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Ogie Alcasid, and Richard Poon in the Favorite Male Artist category.
