A ‘flawless’ kind of barkada
The members of the Forever Flawless gang continue to increase.

The opening of the new Forever Flawless branch in Trinoma last Sept. 23, however, saw the addition of new members. One of them is StarStruck alumnus Prince Stefan, who goes for power peel treatments (to take out the old skin and bring in the new) at Trinoma. The other new Forever Flawless gang-mate is no less than Dr. Vicki Belo of the Belo Medical Group. Yes, the empress of beauty doctors was there as special guest of Forever Flawless’ lady boss Ruby Coyiuto because they had always been good friends from way back.
While the two were in the doctor’s room (a nice cubicle inside the clinic that would surely relax patients), Dr. Belo and Ms. Coyiuto exchanged notes on each other’s treatments and when everyone overheard the two women talking about how placenta is used by Forever Flawless for anti-aging a beeline was formed because everyone wanted to go through the procedure.
Placenta is actually a greenish substance injected into the veins by the doctors of Forever Flawless and while everyone was having their treatment, I rushed outside to the buffet table laden with Mexican dishes and went back in with a plate of food to watch everyone have their procedures. It was like watching a movie except that instead of popcorn, I munched on burritos and tacos while watching live action scenes of people getting injections. It seemed like a walk in the park for most of them because they all came out of it smiling.
Outside in the open treatment area, Mark Herras was picking on Yasmien Kurdi as always (it’s their way of bonding — the two being like brother and sister), while Lorna Tolentino was kept busy being interviewed by a TV crew. When somebody raised the topic of Joey de Leon’s disappearance from Startalk, I was grabbed from my seat by one of the reporters and was also made to talk about it. I doubt if I said anything substantial that would have been of use to them because I was pushed right back to where I was seated. Lorna went on with the interview alone.
When it was time to go, Dr. Vicki Belo and daughter Cristalle Henares decided to check out the other stores in Trinoma and as we made our way out of the Forever Flawless clinic, I heard people calling out: “Dr. Belo! Dr. Belo!” The crowd was pointing out to Dr. Vicki Belo and some were craning their neck to get a better view of her. She was being mobbed! Apparently, she is not just a doctor to the stars anymore. She is now the superstar doctor to the stars.
During our tour of Trinoma, I reminded Dr. Belo that the Fuzion outlet of the Manahan kids (daughters of Johnny and Tats Manahan) was upstairs. I had gone there when it opened last August, but I — and obviously Dr. Belo, too — missed the Sept. 16 launch. (I was away that time and Dr. Belo got her invitation way too early and eventually forgot).
As we sipped our drinks, I called up Tats Manahan to tell her that we were at her kids’ Fuzion store and passed the phone to Dr. Belo. It turned out that they had been friends forever, except that with their busy schedules, they don’t get to see each other much.
From Fuzion, accompanied still by the ever-efficient Francis Labora, we decided to go separate ways. (Dr. Belo and Cristalle were still going to have their bonding-over-dinner time.) Going down to the carpark, we passed by Forever Flawless again and I noticed how Dr. Belo looked at the clinic approvingly.
Undoubtedly, Forever Flawless now has the seal of approval of the country’s best beauty doctor.
