Turning 21 with a bang

SIZZLING HOT - SIZZLING HOT By Juliana Palermo -
Turning 21 was my ultimate birthday bash. There’s nothing more exciting than going out to party and drinking alcohol legally here in the States.

I spent almost one week in paradise, Waikiki Beach, and nearly burned my skin from sitting out in the sun for five straight days.

The beach was beautiful. I felt freedom and peace of mind. One of the first things I’d do in the morning was head straight to Jack In The Box and order a nice sourdough jack for breakfast!

Going on diet was nowhere in my dictionary at the moment. I was just so glad to be away, learn new things and meet new people. The hospitality was amazing.

The other day, I just arrived here in L.A. in time for the biggest Halloween party in West Hollywood.

My flight was at 3 a.m. L.A. time, so I arrived here at around 6 a.m. I still have jetlag. I’ve got so much I want to tell you, and I just don’t quite know where to start.

It was so nice to be back here again. My sister had no idea I was coming in that morning. I basically surprised everybody.

As soon as I got in, I quickly took a power nap for about 45 minutes or so, then headed out around 5 p.m.

My friend RD picked me up from the house early evening because it would be impossible to get into Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood due to heavy traffic.

It was my official first "Legal Night Out" to party. I was absolutely looking forward to going to this gay bar, Abbey’s, where I wasn’t able to go to last year because I was still a minor.

I didn’t really dress up for Halloween. I originally brought a gold costume for this event and hoped to pass as the "golden child" of the night, but ended up throwing on my favorite pair of jeans and a simple lingerie top to match it.

The weather was just simply too cold for a revealing outfit. I was called "The Stripper" for the night. Ha, Ha, Ha!

I don’t know, but can my outfit really pass for a stripper? I was overwhelmed at the sight I saw on Santa Monica Blvd.

The whole party took up about two miles of the Santa Monica strip. The costumes were amazing. This was the night where they honored nudity as a Halloween birthday suit for some people.

The cold, freezing weather didn’t stop them from stripping their clothes off for the night! I would call it a "culture shock" on my part to be exposed to such thing.

I couldn’t be any more proud than walking in the bars and showing off my California driver’s license that says, "Age 21 in 2006."

I know it sounds cheesy, but this was actually the most exciting part of the night for me.

There were thousands of people out that night, and about 80 percent wore a costume. I felt somewhat out of place, and decided to find a shop that might be open that sold lingerie and maybe change into something more revealing than what I had on.

On our way to the store, a TV crew stopped me and asked if I wanted to be on TV and be seen on E! Entertainment Channel. Well, who doesn’t?

I laughed and they started to interview me. There was a guy trying to hump my ass with his fake penis all throughout the interview that went on for about 15 minutes. I felt like a Hollywood Star!

A lot of people had their eyes on me and even took pictures of me. E! Channel interviewed me about being a "diva." They were asking me what "being a diva" meant to me.

The best part of the interview was when I had to make a full turn, face the camera and say, "I’m an international diva."

The interview was for a new show E! Channel will launch on or before New Year’s. I then decided not to change my clothes any longer. Oh, I wonder why.

Anyway, that night was full of surprises. The pictures say it all. West Hollywood is absolutely the place to be for Halloween.

By the way, I was able to finally get into Abbey’s. I’ll tell you all about it next week. Keep smiling!

Have a beautiful Sunday!
