Why Richard is crying ‘Foul!’

Last Tuesday night, Nina Corpuz reported on the ABS-CBN news program TV Patrol World that Richard Gomez was expelled from the Philippine National Shooting Association (PNSA) of which he has been a member of good standing since 2001.

Corpuz based her report on a letter faxed to her by an allegedly PNSA member who has an axe to grind against Richard.

"Foul!" cried Richard. "I checked with a member of the PNSA board of directors and he said that the association hasn’t issued such a letter. In short, nakuryente si Nina Corpuz."

Richard explained that some 10 of the 60-plus members of the PNSA have signed a petition to expell him "for conduct unbecoming." The petition was forwarded to the PNSA legal department which has not, according to Richard, "acted upon it up to now."

"Whoever sent that ‘poison letter’ to Nina Corpuz was not authorized to do so," added Richard. – Ricky Lo
