Only when she believes...

What does it take for two stars to shine together? Excellence, of course and originality.
Sharon Cuneta, also known as the Megastar, shines anew as she endorses Sony Sparkling Wega television.
Wega, a German word pronounced as Vega, is the brightest star in the northern sky. Sony made it even brighter as it presents to the market the new Sparkling Wega which produces ultimate brightness and unsurpassed clarity. Its powered by Sonys exclusive FD Trinitron and the newly-developed Intelligent Picture Plus technology.
FD Trinitron technologys High Tension Aperture Grille produces bright images with greater depth and quality, while the Auto Contrast Optimization in Intelligent Picture Plus enables middle range luminance images to raise its potential by 30 percent. This improves picture quality by controlling sensitivity, color level, sharpness and brightness when receiving weak broadcast or signals.
Sony Sparkling Wegas flat surface allows consumers to enjoy natural picture quality.
Given these pluses, Sony didnt have a hard time getting Sharons nod to help launch the product in the country.
A flattered Sharon says, "Although money is an important thing to consider, the reputation of the company has to be No. 1. I dont want to be associated with a product I dont believe in." Obviously, Sharon patronizes Sony even before she was chosen to endorse it. Watching TV or a movie is part of the family bonding in her household, aside from having dinner together and spending quality time with husband Sen. Francis Pangilinan and their children.
Sharon also looks into the affordability of the product, specially nowadays when people want quality products that fit their budget.
Arnold Balao, deputy director for home audio video product marketing, says, "We recognize the existence of economical consumers who demand affordable yet premium quality television."
Aside from being affordable, the Sparkling Wega comes with an exclusive collectors CD/DVD edition of Sharons Isnt It Romantic? album for those who purchase the TV starting this month up to October.
Sharons healthy lifestyle and dedication as a mother reflect in the products she campaigns for. She endorses mostly wholesome products from a shipping line to milk, sandwich spreads, fast-food chain, makeup to TV, etc. which Filipino family can enjoy.
"I patronize all the products or services Im endorsing and I have great respect for all of them," Sharon says.
Consumers tend to patronize products endorsed by people theyre familiar with. Credibility is a key factor in promoting the product well.
Respect for the brand, adds Sharon, will make consumers believe in the endorsers sincerity. And Sharons campaigns have largely been effective.
Being in show business for 28 years, Sharon remains humble, and has both feet firmly planted on the ground.
"I always tell young actors today not to change their attitude," Sharon explains. "Once the head becomes too big for the hat, it means the beginning of an end."
Sharon knows how to reciprocate the nice treatment given her. This is why she gets to work with two rival stations, and theres no need to jump ober da bakod. She will do another movie with Aga Muhlach for Star Cinema, a drama movie also from Star Cinema to be shot in London and another film co-produced by Unitel Production and Star Cinema. An upcoming GMA Films project also excites her.
Sonys campaign pitch, "like no other," embodies not only the Sparkling Wega but its endorser as well.
Sony is one of the sponsors of Sharons series of provincial concerts dubbed Mega Tour, which will kick off on July 29 at the Clark Expo in Clark Field Pampanga; Sept. 9, Waterfront Cebu City; Oct. 7, The Summit Center, Zamboanga; and Oct. 21, CPU Rose Memorial Hall.
The concert tour will also feature a grand display of Sparkling Wega products.
