Love to Love into Season 10

This month, Love to Love welcomes the summer with the heat of love in its newest season that highlights heart-tickling and touching back-to-back tales about love, romance and adventure.

Laced with fascinating elements of fantasy and magic, the show’s season 10 is set to provide another entertaining, love-filled Sunday afternoon featuring Mark Herras, Pauleen Luna, Bianca King, Jeremy Marquez, Margaret Wilson and the StarStruck Batch 3 final 4 winners. Marky Cielo, Gian Carlos, Iwa Moto and Jackie Rice, with Maureen Larrazabal, Leo Martinez and Luz Valdez.

Entitled My Darling Mermaid, the first story is about a mermaid named Maya (Pauleen) whose mission is to find the precious green pearl stolen by an evil mermaid who left the sea and went on hiding on land. The queen of merfolk, Thalia (Maureen), gives Maya a magic oil that transforms her tail into legs. As she fulfills her mission, Maya finds herself drawn to the beach house of Ariel (Mark) and falls in love with him.

Ariel is a painter who met a little mermaid when he was a boy. Years later, he goes to the beach to find inspiration and nearly drowns. He wakes up groggily to find a beautiful mermaid staring at him but the mermaid quickly jumps back into the sea. Ariel tells his friends about his experience but no one believes him except for his fiancée named Patty (Bianca) whose dark past remains a secret.

Ariel doesn’t know it but Maya was the same little mermaid he met as a child and who saved him from drowning. With a task to fulfill, how can Maya convince Ariel she is the one he is looking for? Should Ariel fall for her? Will the painter bid goodbye to humanity or to Maya?

Also in My Darling Mermaid are Jeremy Marquez and Margaret Wilson under the direction of Mark Reyes.

The magical story is back-to-back with Young at Heart directed by Dominic Zapata. The episode is a fantasy-romance that revolves around Lolo Jose (Leo Martinez), a widower, and Lola Clara (Luz Valdez), an old maid, who are enemies and neighbors in a small provincial town.

Life suddenly changes for Lolo Jose and Lola Clara when they find a magic vinyl record. When it plays, they suddenly turn young. Lolo Jose becomes Joey (Marky Cielo) while Lola Clara becomes Claire (Jackie Rice).

As they rediscover the joys of being young, conflict arises when Lola Clara’s grandniece Denise (Iwa Moto) and Lolo Jose’s grandson, Ton (Gian Carlo) enter into the picture.

Denise meets Joey, the young Lolo Jose, and gets easily attracted with his charm while Ton encounters Claire, the young Lola Clara, and pursues her. Conservative Claire is shocked by Ton’s aggressive ways of courtship.

Will things work out for these hopeless romantics living in two different worlds? When will Lolo Jose or Joey realize he is in love with Lola Clara or Claire? Is love enough to keep them young at heart?

Love to Love Season 10 premieres today after SOP Gigsters on GMA 7.
