Is Sarah Geronimo ready to rock Araneta Coliseum? You bet.
Sarah will go solo at the Big Dome on July 25. This early, Vivas main man Vic del Rosario is excited for Sarah.
"Sarah is primed for a solo concert at the Araneta. It will be another milestone for her," Del Rosario says. "Besides, there has been a clamor for Sarah to do a show on her own."
But wait, theres more. Sarah will have a launching movie. Shell start on the film, as yet without a title, right after her Araneta gig.
"Its going to be a different movie, the kind that will appeal to bagets," Del Rosario adds.
Sarah has just returned from Japan where she did a concert with Mark Bautista.
Already in record bars is the special edition CD of Sarah, Can This Be Love, the official soundtrack of the movie starring Sandara Park and Hero Angeles.
In the last two years, Sarah has blossomed into a total performer. Her stints abroad did a lot to improve her poise and stage presence. Del Rosario has honed Sarahs talent to a fine, sparkling edge. Now shes a full-fledged star.
This May, the Night of the Champions group flies to US for the Return of the Champions US Tour 2005. The tour kicks off May 21 in New York, followed by stops in Washington (May 22), Chicago (May 28), San Francisco (June 4), Seattle (June 5), Los Angeles (June 11), Las Vegas (June 12), San Diego (June 17) and Hawaii (June 19).
At 16, Sarahs already a certified complete entertainer. She has proven it as the star of Sarah: The Teen Princess and host of Search for a Star in a Million. Sarahs versatility shoneshe danced, sang, and did heavy drama, all with flyng colors.
But beyond acting and hosting, Search for a Star in a Million, Sarah has firmly established her stardom as a singer. Her first album, Popstar, under Viva Records, turned platinum in just a few months. The album also produced several hits.
Even before her second album, Sweet Sixteen was released, its carrier single, How Could You Say You Love Me, was No. 1 in several FM stations and music video channels.
Just a month after its release, Sweet Sixteen under Viva Records, is already platinum. That means the album has sold more than 30,000 copies in one month.
"Hindi ko na nga po alam kung paano sila pasasalamatan. Sobrang blessing na po ang ibinibigay nila sa akin," Sarah said.
"Bukod po sa concert at pelikula, nai-excite na rin po akong makasama si Hero (Angeles) sa SCQ Reload, Kilig Ito. Maraming salamat po talaga kay Boss Vic at sa ABS-CBN na sumusuporta sa career ko," she adds.
